The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation is held by less than 1% of Toronto Realtors

The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. It's the MBA of Toronto condo real estate buyer representation.

Why should you look for the Accredited Buyer Representative designation before looking for a condo?

These three letters after a REALTOR's name tell you that you will be working with buyer representative who is committed to your best interests.

The ABR Designation is awarded by REBAC (Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council) to Realtors who have met the specific educational and experiential criteria needed to provide the high level quality service required by the Council.

Why you should use an Accredited Buyer's Representative(ABR) when you buy?

A real estate agent may represent the buyer or the seller.

Is your agent working for you?

An ABR will:

Locate the Property

Your buyer rep will evaluate your wants and needs, searching out the properties that fit your specifications.

As new listings become available, your buyer rep will set appointments for showings.

Provide Market Information

Market value is determined by many factors, including the availability of similar properties at competitive prices, location, conditions, and most of all the price that a knowledgeable buyer is willing to pay. Your buyer rep will provide market date to help you establish an offering price.

Structuring Your Purchase Offer

Price may not be the only consideration in structuring a purchase offer that is best for you. Other things may be equally important to you, such as the terms and conditions of the offer, amount of deposit, and possession date.

Negotiating with Sellers

Sellers are concerned about many things when reviewing a purchase offer, including the ability of the purchasers to fulfill their agreement, the terms and conditions of the offer, what items are to convey, breakdown of closing costs between buyer and seller – even the motivations and lifestyle of the prospective new owners! A buyer’s representative will help structure strategy to create a winning scenario.

As my old mentor used to tell him “the agent is the glue in the deal”.

Handling All the Details

A lot has to happen between signing the purchase offer and moving into the home! Your buyer representative will attend to the details and keep you in touch with the transaction each step of the way.

About the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council (REBAC)

The Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council, REBAC, was founded in 1988 to promote superior buyer representation skills and services.

The Accredited Buyer Representative designation is geared towards agents who wish to enhance their buyer representation skills, and provides proof to prospective buyer-clients of their proficiency at servicing the special needs of buyers.
